ABOUT BANDAKO

This website was created to pave a way for our fellow Filipinos, the unknown bands. I believe that in every corner of this Archipelago, there are young & talented individuals who are starting to form a band in their garage, with dreams to make it big in the scene, or play for a big crowd to let the people hear their songs. 

But not all are fortunate enough to have the opportunity, the competition is steep, plus, major local label are looking for music that attracts the masses. Hard as it may seem, but sometimes, many bands with great quality of music to offer, end up playing a top 40 hits in bars, just to provide a living for their families.

BANDAKO website unveils the bands who are hardly seen on the TV, or be heard on the radio, but has beautiful music, lyrics and melody that can rival any popular bands today. Thanks to the existence of the internet, they can now record their music, shoot their videos and promote it to various website like YOU TUBE, IMEEM and many others. That is how I realized the need to create this site only for the Filipino bands, for the bands who has the passion, and live and die only for the sake of music, a truly Filipino music.
